Had tried the food at Madurai Konar restaurant when they had opened newly last year. Quite a good south Tamil Nadu fare…their Karandi Omlette, Lunch Thali, fried fish were all tasty and well cooked. Jigarthanda, Madurai style was quite good.
Just received their Iftar pack on WhatsApp, so thought of sharing it.

Had heard about Madurai Restaurant from a friend who used to work in Abu Dhabi.
Passed by it this time when in Abu Dhabi, unfortunately lunch was almost sold out, so couldn’t taste their fare.
It’s a small restaurant located behind Yateem Optician on Hamdan Street. Heard from my friend that the food was quite good, chettinad and tamil variety – both vegetarian and non-vegetarian.

During a visit to a relative’s house in Sharjah, was treated to Chennai Biriyani. Being a flavoured rice lover, my taste buds loved it! Learnt that Chennai Biriyani had a restaurant in Dubai…so googled them and found their menu cards featured on AtnInfo.com…cool!
AtnInfo.com has implemented a scanned restaurant menu cards database on a large scale, what I similarly had tried on a small scale in 2006 on KaramaStuff.com, UseUae.com and recently here on UaeTamil.com (screen shot from their website).
